Design your Bauformat (German) Kitchen

Step 1

To begin the procedure we require your kitchen layout. This can be obtained by taking the appropriate measurements yourself (See D.I.Y guidelines) or alternatively our estimator can visit your property (Under almost all circumstances before placing any orders we advise that our estimator visits your property).

Please note: We highly recommend that you pop by our showroom at 358 to 360 Edgware Road, London, W2 1EB. Then a visit from our estimator can take place depending on your properties address (Where you are located). Providing you give these details we can advise you on whether or not a visit from our estimator can be arranged and if there is a charge for this service.

D.I.Y Guidlines
To begin you need to produce a drawing of your kitchen on an A4 sheet paper. A plan drawing is the most suitable format for the kitchen designer to proceed with the design. A sketch of your room is sufficient with lengths of each wall, door height and width, window positions including widths and heights, ceiling height, existing sink position and oven and hob position. Please advise us if there are any obstructions or protruding objects including wall/floor mounted boilers, radiators, gas/water pipes, etc.

IMPORTANT: If your measurements are inaccurate or you do not mention any of the points (above) then we cannot be held responsible for any discrepancies to your final design.

Step 2

Please choose the appliances you wish to use for your kitchen. They can be either built-in (integrated) or freestanding. Such as an oven, hob (electric or gas), microwave oven, cooker hood, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, washer dryer, dishwasher, sink and tap. See the manufacturer's website for more details (below).

Appliance brands include:

And many more. Please enquire for details on all ranges.

Step 3

Choosing a worktop. One of the final decisions to be made is the kind of worktop that you wish to use. This decision could be made based on your budget, how often you use your kitchen and whether it is for yourself or rental. The different types of worktop materials include granite, marble, laminate, wood etc.

Worktop brands include:

Please visit our showroom for more information on worktops.

Step 4

Once all of the above has been completed and the designer has all the information required then the design stage can proceed. Typical designs and estimates (pricing) take 4-7 days to complete. If you are awaiting a design we will be in contact soon. The designer will require you visit our showroom for a demonstration and to discuss your kitchen design.

Step 5

When the final design has been agreed we can process the order with a signature on all drawings and estimates and a card, cash or cheque deposit for the kitchen units. Typical lead time on all Bauformat (German) kitchen units is 4 weeks from the date of order. Appliances are ordered subject to stock. Typical lead time is within 1 week of order.

Step 6

Before delivery or collection the outstanding balance must be paid. Please notify us by email, telephone or fax of your intentions.
